Zeb Lin Brister, M.D.
Dr. Brister is the founder and Medical Director of Eye Care for Tulsa. A graduate of Tulsa University, Dr. Brister went on to the University of Oklahoma Medical School. He completed his Post-Doctoral training as Resident in Ophthalmology at the Dean McGee Eye Institute in Oklahoma City. Dr. Brister is certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology.
Dr. Brister has been in private Ophthalmology practice in Tulsa, Oklahoma since 1977. His specialties include cataract surgeries of all types, as well as refractive surgery.
In addition, he is a member of the Oklahoma Ophthalmological Society and was the past president of the Tulsa Ophthalmological Society. He is currently an Assistant Clinical Professor for the University of Oklahoma in Tulsa and instructs residents with In His Image Family Practice Residency.

Dr. Brister has been involved in Medical Missions since 1977 and spends several weeks each year in Mexico and other third-world countries working with the poor, restoring vision through cataract surgery, as well as sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ. While on mission, he has been involved in teaching new surgical techniques to resident surgeons. Teaching as far away as China, he has also worked and taught in numerous countries including Mexico, China, Ecuador, Honduras, Ghana, Nigeria and Africa.

Brad Wells, O.D.
Dr. Brad Wells has been with Eye Care for Tulsa since 2004 when he graduated from Northeastern State University College of Optometry. While at NSU, he received the Award for Clinical Excellence in the area of Ocular Disease.
Dr. Wells and his wife Cindy are the proud parents of four children: Hope, Luke, Eli, and Ani. They are members of The Church at Battle Creek.
Dr. Wells’ clinical experience in Optometry makes him a valuable addition to the Eye Care for Tulsa team.
James Stover, O.D.
Dr. James Stover is the veteran optometrist at Eye Care for Tulsa. As a 1983 graduate of Northeastern Oklahoma State University School of Optometry, he began his practice at Eye Care for Tulsa In 1985.
Dr. Stover is known for his sincere approach with his patients and technical excellence. He has four children: Rhett, Mary, Casey, and Lauren. His hobbies include water and snow skiing, golf and basketball.
Joyce Varkey D.O.
Dr. Joyce Varkey is excited to join the Eye Care for Tulsa team, specializing in cataract refractive surgery as well as ocular plastics procedures. After attending medical school in Kansas City, she came to Tulsa for Ophthalmology residency at Oklahoma State University. During her training, she met Dr. Lin Brister, whose life-long commitment to eye care and missions matched her goals for her life.
Originally from Texas, she attended University of Texas at Dallas for her undergraduate degree where she majored In Biology and minored in Neuroscience and Performing Arts, and was listed on the Dean’s list.
Bringing excellent surgical and clinical eye care at home here in Tulsa and abroad to those in need is a privilege she is excited to a part of.
Dr. Varkey is board eligible and a part of the American Osteopathic College of Ophthalmology and Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery as well as the American Academy of Ophthalmology. She enjoys learning new languages and cultures. In addition to English, she can speak Malayalam, Hindi, and Spanish.
